Got NO! ?!

Putting on the 6th annual Spokane Comicon is a great experience and being surrounded by all levels of artist talent is truly inspiring. Now that the con is in the books I finally have some free time to unleash my built up artist ideas. Here are three paintings I've already done just in the first week after the con (I doubt I'll be able to maintain that pace). I really dig the way the Jeffrey Dean Morgan (cigar smoking man) painting turned out. I might even flirt with the idea of making a new con banner out of it. We'll see. The second image was just a female character study. No one in particular. The last one is of secret agent "Poyo" created by Eisner Award winner writer and creator John Layman of Image comics "CHEW". John just notified me that he'll be putting my latest Poyo picture in an upcoming issue of CHEW which is pretty cool. I've previously had some of my art in "CHEW" issues #8 and #13 so you could say that I am a regular contributor to CHEW hahahaha.

Now I have to get to brainstorming two new "Double Shot" mini comics stories I will be self publishing with fellow Spokane artists Jeremy Whittington http://jeremywhittington.deviantart.com/ and Zephan Osris http://chainsawcomics.deviantart.com/ . Both Jeremy and Zephan did their own "double shots" for the con and they were a big hit. I am excited to create something new and work with these guys. More on that as it develops.
