I was lucky enough to sit next to my pal and fellow Spokane artist Jeremy Whittington all weekend. Jeremy's really talented and had some great mash-up prints like Scooby-Doom and Dead-Pooh that you should check out his stuff.
I sold out of 4 different prints (62 total) and also sold 7 out of 10 of my new art book: Just Say NO!. My biggest goal was to make enough money to purchase my own Artist Alley table (WHICH I DID!!) outright next year. That way if I decide to share it with someone it's my decision and not anyone else's. Sadly it also means that my 3 year run with the Sketch Crew is over. Long story short is that I know when I am not wanted. I have no regrets and everyone in the Crew are all super talented people that I have no negative feelings towards them despite what anyone might say. Life's too short to be mad or negative all the time. Nobody's perfect so move on and that's what I am doing, moving on.
I was lucky enough this year that my wife and daughter where able to make the trip over with me this time around. They got to come and go as they pleased to see me and see some of our old friends from the Seattle area. We stayed in a near by hotel that was great and I ate way to much Sushi the entire weekend. Now that this show is over the focus is getting ready for the 6th annual Spokane Comicon on May 19th. It's shaping up to be our best show yet and I can't wait.
NO!
